The first was a seventeen minute silent movie soundtrack, more recent a large symphonic brass composition celebrating the Concorde supersonic aeroplane . “Concorde” has now been recorded by Surrey Brass and is available on DVD from both the Brooklands Motor and Aviation Museum and the Surrey Brass website.

In 2008, he was commission to write music to open a special edition of the BBC Radio 3 "In Tune" programme broadcast live from the Britten Theatre at The Royal College of Music, leading up to the 2008 First Night of the Proms

Over the past ten years, Robert has won several composing awards these include the PRS schools proms 50th anniversary brass fanfare (mentioned earlier), a Holst bursary to study film composition with Miguel Mera at the Dartington International Summer School, and more recently the 2007 National Eisteddfod of Wales Brass Fanfare competition.
